NCSF Holds Auditions For 2009 Mainstage Season On 4/24

The North Carolina Shakespeare Festival (NCSF) will hold auditions for Equity and non-Equity actors for its 2009 MainStage repertory season productions of Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Auditions for Equity actors will be held on Friday, April 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a lunch break from noon until 1:00 p.m. Equity ‘walk-ins’ are welcome. NCSF operates under a LORT ‘D’ contract with Actors Equity Association.

Auditions for non-Equity actors will be held on Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch break from noon until 1:00 p.m., and Sunday, April 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Actors must bring a resume, an 8 x 10 black and white headshot, and prepare two contrasting Shakespearean monologues of their choice, each not to exceed two minutes. NCSF has a strong history of non-traditional casting, and invites actors of all races, religions, ethnic backgrounds and disabilities to audition.
