Greenwood Shakespeare Auditions – April 17-19th – Indiana Auditions
Safe House Productions, Inc. is announcing auditions for its 2009 Summer Season of Greenwood Shakespeare in the Park at Greenwood’s Amphitheater in Surina Square Park.
The three plays, “Love’s Labours Lost”, “The Tempest”, and “Macbeth” will be cast with a company of adult and student actors from auditions at the Greenwood Community Center April 17 – 19.
Students who are currently in 5th grade through 7th grade will be seen on April 17 beginning at 5:00pm. Middle School auditioners should plan to bring 3 copies of current picture (a black and white or color snapshot or school photo copied onto regular paper is acceptable), a list of all schedule conflicts including activities and vacations between the audition date and August 9, and a parent or guardian, and be prepared to read from the scripts. No experience is necessary to audition. Auditioners should expect to stay until 7:00pm but may be released sooner.
Students currently in 8th grade through college will be seen on Saturday, April 18 beginning at 12:30pm. High school and college actors should bring 3 copies of a current photo; a resume or list of experience in theater, dance, music, or public speaking (including course work); and a list of all schedule conflicts including activities and vacations from the audition date through August 9. No monologues are necessary, auditioners will read from the scripts. Auditioners under the age of 18 must bring a parent or guardian. All actors should plan to stay until 5:00pm, but may be released earlier, so they should have a ride available.
Adult actors will be seen on Sunday, April 19 beginning at 12:30pm. Actors should bring 3 copies of a current photo, a resume of previous theatre experience, and a list of all schedule conflicts between the audition date and August 9. No monologues are necessary, actors will read from the scripts. Adult actors with requisite experience may be offered a small stipend contingent on funding and donations received, but no pay is guaranteed. Actors should plan to stay until 5:00pm but may be released earlier.
