Believe me, if you get cast based on a lie and your director finds out you’re not really punctual, they’ll feel betrayed by the casting director. They’ll call them and ask. Together, they’ll easily figure it out. You may not get fired for that, but you’ve got a lot of bad feelings going around. Guess whose scenes get cut? And more important for the long term: casting directors work on a lot of projects, so the next time your headshot in on their desk, it’ll go into the garbage.
